The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane is one of the city’s finest and best known 5-star hotels. Founded in the 1920s, the hotel has a long and famous history of outstanding hospitality and connecting with the most discerning of travellers. VIP events are held in the hotel’s historic Grade II listed ballroom. Catering to an event of such size requires a very large front-of-house team. Typically, at The Sheraton Grand, this is made up of a combination of both a permanent internal team and trusted agency personnel from multiple suppliers. Managing such a workforce is a challenge. 

“Keeping tabs on multiple agencies and multiple products is a pain,” says Arne Finnern the Banqueting and In-Room Dining Manager. Arne explains how one agency cannot supply the entire workforce throughout the year and, as such, he is often juggling multiple supply partners across different areas. To date, he has tried at least ten agencies in the hospitality space.
